Italian Antique Library Bookcase, Stained Glass, Carved Lions & Paws #29451

Hand carved of solid wormy walnut for a palazzo in northern Italy about 1900, this bookcase has lion heads and paw feet. The door has original wrought iron hardware with a working lock and stained glass pane.

The original finish has been waxed and buffed, all that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. Shelves adjust on wooden supports inside this antique library furniture.

Size is 36" wide tip to tip, 20" deep and 71" tall.
