Mahogany Antique Rolltop Desk, Brass Feet, Signed National #29586

This "C" shaped roll top mahogany desk from the early 1900's is signed "National Desk." Original brass feet protected the legs in the days of mopping floors. There is a somewhat mysterious label in florid antique handwriting on a drawer, see photos.

The restored gleaming finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique library or office furniture. The roll glides smoothly, inside are tiny drawers and cubicles plus a locking compartment. On the sides are note or letter holders.

Deep drawers have dovetail joints, there is a file drawer. Carved pulls are original, one has a small loss, see photos.

Measurements are 55" wide, 34" deep, 43" tall, the desktop is 30" high, and the kneehole is 24 1/2" wide and 24 1/2" tall.
