This wonderful chest or dresser is solid cherry with mahogany banding and "tiger" or curly maple drawer fronts, and dates from the 1820's. Said to be from New York state, the large upper drawer was once rebuilt to have a drop front, see photos.
The old finish is very well preserved on this American made antique furniture. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints, brass pulls could be original. Locks are signed, "Henry Boker."
Measurements are 45" wide, 20" deep and 44 1/2" tall.
