Empire Antique Acanthus Carved Mahogany Queen Size 3 Pc Bedroom Set #29965

This massive Empire style three piece bedroom set has classical acanthus leaf motifs, and includes a queen size poster bed, tall chest and a wide dresser that is slightly different, see photos. Hand carved of mahogany with matched flame grain panels about 1900, the scale of this imposing American made furniture is grand.

The restored satiny finish is in excellent condition, preserving minor mars at the edges for a little antique character.

The bed has traditional carved pineapple finials and has been expertly adapted to standard queen size. A demonstrator mattress and spring unit in photos are 18" thick together. Wood cross supports as shown are included. Size is 90" long, 66" wide, the headboard is 50" tall and the footboard is 35" high.

Chests have beveled swivel mirrors and large drawers with dovetail joints. Both center drawers have keys as handles only, locks do not work.

Tall chest is 43" wide, 26" deep, 74" tall and the top is 49" high. The dresser measures 66" wide, 27" deep, 75" tall and the top is 37" high.
