A player piano from 1915 is in excellent working condition, restored about 30 years ago. The Craftsman period quarter sawn oak case and bench have a restored finish in very fine condition as well. Made by "Smith & Barnes of Chicago," the piano can also be played manually, but the damper pedal was disconnected by the player mechanism.
The player mechanism has been completely rebuilt with new hoses and bellows, and plays very well. It can be operated with the original foot pedals, an electric pump was added as well. There are controls for speed, volume and expression. This restoration project cost $4400 when completed 30 years ago. A large box of assorted rolls as shown is included.
Piano size is 63" wide, 29" deep and 58" tall, The bench has storage under the lid and measures 36" long, 15" wide and 20" tall.
