Chinese 4 Panel Silver Leaf Coromandel Carved Lacquer Vintage Screen #30090

A four panel Chinese screen is authentic carved "Coromandel" lacquer and silver leaf. Layers of colored lacquer are covered in black, then hand carved down through the colors to "reveal" the garden and birds design. The backside has a traditional garden scene.

About 60 years old, there are various mars, shrinkage separations from age and touchups to this vintage Asian furniture, see photos. Feet are brass.

Panels are 16" wide and 1" deep, 6' tall and when folded accordion style as shown, about 4 1/2' wide, stretched out to flat, width is 5' 4" overall.
