A late Victorian or Eastlake period three piece bedroom set was carved of solid walnut with matched burl panels about 1875, and includes a queen size bed, marble top dresser with mirror and a small chest or commode.
The restored rich finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture.
The bed has been expertly adapted to fit a standard modern queen size mattress. The demonstrator mattress and spring unit in photos is 18" thick together. Wood cross supports are included as shown.
Measurements of the bed are 87" long, 68" wide, the headboard is 79" tall and the footboard is 32" high.
The dresser and commode have minor stains in the marble tops, which have been polished and given a low luster protective finish. Nickel ring pulls are original, drawers have round "pin and cove" dovetail joints.
The chest has an original mirror with a sparkling curved bevel and just enough "smoke" to show its age. Size is 45" wide, 19" deep and 83" tall.
The key in the small chest or commode is a handle only, the lock does not work. Measurements are 34" wide, 18" deep and 29" tall.
