Vernis Martin 1900 Antique French Vitrine Curio Cabinet, Painted Wissi #31345

A elegant curved glass French 1890 era vitrine or curio display cabinet has an original "Vernis Martin" finish, a traditional frosty bronze finishing technique. The hand painted courting scene and flowers include a bombe panel, signed "J. Wissi."

There is wear to the original finish plus minor touchups, preserved with clear satin varnish on this antique European furniture, see photos. Embossed cast brass mounts and moldings are original. The locking door and sides have curved glass, inside are two shaped plate glass shelves.

Size of this historic display cabinet is 31" wide, 16" deep and 68" tall.
