A hand crafted solid maple carpenter work bench from the early 1900's could also serve as a kitchen island or wine and cheese tasting table. There is an original cast iron clamp or vise to hold woodworking projects, or possibly to crack nuts.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving lots of mars, stains and wear for antique character on this American made antique furniture. There is some curly or "tiger" maple grain.
The drawer has original bin pulls and there is a knife or chisel holder on the back. Peg holes were used to secure woodworking projects when gluing.
Measurements are 42" wide, 24" deep excluding the clamp, 29" with the clamp and 32" tall.
