Mahogany Antique Bombe Music Cabinet, Hand Painted Vernis Martin Finish #31664

This marvelous mahogany "bombe" or convex shaped cabinet has hand painted scenes and the famous "Vernis Martin" frosted bronze finish, and dates from about 1895. Originally created to hold sheet music, there are two removable shelves inside.

The original finish is in very good condition with a little crazing or crackling for antique character, and has been given a protective finish. Lavish patinated brass mounts and the gallery are original on this American made antique furniture. A lock and key still work.

Size is 22" wide, 16" deep and 39" tall.
