This Victorian period English butler's secretary desk from about 1870 looks straight out of Downton Abbey. Richly hand carved, the top "drawer" is actually a pull out desk at stool or stand up height.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this antique furniture. There are various shrinkage separations from age, see photos. Behind the locking lower doors are tray style drawers. The desk writing surface is covered with dark leather.
An elaborate working lock secures the drop down front of the desk. The interior is golden curly maple, with a pull out pen, paper and inkwell holder plus tiny drawers. The right interior drawer locks with a key.
Measurements are 52" wide, 38 1/4" tall and 23" deep. The desktop is 30 1/2" high.
Shipping rate based on ground floor delivery from a trusted service provider. Most deliveries occur 14-30 business days from payment, some slightly longer, some shorter.
