Originally hand crafted as a jelly cupboard to hold the jams and jellies from the fall harvest, this Victorian period cabinet would also be useful in a bath for linens. Solid walnut with burl panels, there are square cut nails. A lock and key kept hungry children out of the sweet stash.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture. There are shrinkage separations from age, see photos. A drawer has hand cut dovetail joints.
Dimensions are 30" wide, 18" deep and 48 1/2" tall.
