Kueffel & Esser Signed Vintage Theodolite Surveyor Transit Oak Case #32025

A "theodolite" or surveyor's transit is signed "Kueffel & Esser of NY," and appears to be in working condition, but we are not experts and cannot be certain. On the base are a compass and bubble level.

There are losses and mars to the original well worn oak case, which has finger dovetail joints at the corner. This vintage scientific instrument dates from the 1940's.

The case measures 20" long, 10" wide and 6" tall, and has a strap.
