A solid cherry jeweler's desk from the late Victorian or Eastlake period dates from about 1890. Very well worn, the top center panel is maple.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving loads of stains, mars and wear for antique character. American made, shallow drawers were used for mounts and jewelry mounts. Drawers have dovetail joints and antique cast iron bin pulls, there are variations in the design.
Measurements are 54" long, 30" deep, 30" tall and the kneehole is 25" high and 33" wide.
