A Craftsman period four stack "lawyer's" bookcase is quarter sawn oak from about 1910, signed by famous maker, "Globe Wernicke."
The original finish is remarkably well preserved with just enough mars and wear for a little antique character. This American made antique library or office furniture has been waxed and buffed so all that is needed to maintain its warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
The upper section has replaced glass, lower doors have original wavy glass. Books up to 9 1/2" wide fit, the upper section up to 8 1/2" tall and the three lower sections up to 10" tall.
Overall size is 34" wide, 12" deep and 62 1/2" tall.
