Antique Day Bed or Sofa from Palmer House, Chicago, New Upholstery #32392

This dramatic day bed or sofa was made for the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago about 1915, according to the family. Solid birch hardwood forms the flared "basket" design with subtle carved details. The seat is newly upholstered and includes two matching pillows.

The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture, the frame is reglued to serve another generation. The comfortable seat is 17" high, 81" long and 27" deep, so more pillows would be nice to use as a sofa.

Measurements are 91" long, 32" deep and 32" tall.
