This late Victorian or Eastlake period recliner chair has a patented iron adjustable mechanism signed "D. B. Hartley, Chicago." Carved of solid walnut and dating from about 1880, upholstery is new.
The pull out and flip up footrest has four adjustable positions.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving a little wear for antique character. A lever adjusts the back to any angle. The frame is sturdy, reglued to serve another generation.
Dimensions when upright are 25" wide, 29" deep, 40" tall and the seat is 16" high.
