Ansonia NY Antique Victorian Marble Open Escapement Clock #32779

A Victorian mantel clock from the 1880's is black marble with engraving and inlaid with colored marble, signed by famous maker, "Ansonia of New York." The porcelain dial has an open visible escapement.

Professionally cleaned and oiled, the brass movement keeps accurate time for a week on a winding. A gong counts the hour and half hour on this American made antique. There are very minor flakes at the edges plus some wear to the marble, see photos.

Measurements are 15" wide, 6" deep and 9" tall.
