Rosewood Banded Antique French Semainier Lingerie or Jewelry Chest #32786

This seven drawer "Semainier" or lingerie chest has one drawer for each day of the week, and could also function for jewelry or a collector. Genuine rosewood, mahogany and satinwood have banded and matched grain.

The marble top has been polished and sealed for protection. Expertly crafted in France about 1920, the grain is beautiful.

The restored silken finish is in excellent condition on this elegant vintage furniture. Cast brass mounts and key hole covers are original. Key is a handle only, locks do not work. Drawers have solid oak sides with hand cut dovetail joints.

Dimensions are 17" wide, 13" deep and 50" tall.
