King Size Italian Art Deco Antique 4 Pc Olive Burl Bedroom Set, Bakelite #32893

A spectacular Art Deco period bedroom set from about 1925 includes a king size bed, chest with mirror and pair of nightstands. Hand crafted in Italy of matched olive wood burl, carvings are done by the hand of a master.

The restored rich finish is in excellent condition, preserving some shrinkage separations from age and irregularities of the intricate burl grain, see photos.

Expertly adapted to standard modern king size, the bed includes wood cross supports and center legs as shown. Demonstrator mattress and spring unit are 18" thick together. Measurements are 83" wide, 96" long, the headboard is 65" tall and the footboard is 30" high.

Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints, original pulls with bakelite mounts and locks are operational.

Round nightstands are a true right and left pair. Size is 20" wide, 18" deep and 31" tall.

The chest or dresser has jewelry compartments on the top. There is a hint of antique "smoke" to the original shaped and beveled mirror. Dimensions are 63" wide, 24" deep and 73" tall.

Does not include setting up bed.
