About 40 years old, this style of hall console table was called a "petticoat table" because the lower mirror was used to adjust petticoats. Crafted of mahogany with engraved brass mounts, the top is black marble or slate.
Today, this beautiful Empire design console could also serve as a vessel sink vanity.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made vintage furniture, signed "KHS." The stone top has been polished and given a low luster protective finish.
Measurements are 44" wide, 23" deep and 31" tall.
