Victorian Antique Carved Oak Monumental 3 Pc Bedroom Set, King Size Bed #32993

A monumental Victorian period three piece bedroom set was carved of solid quarter sawn oak in the 1890's. The set has a king size bed, large chest or dresser with mirror, and smaller chest with a secret compartment. Deeply sculpted lion paw feet, carved panels and fluted columns are imposing.

The restored rich finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture. There are shrinkage separations from age and various restorations over the past century.

Expertly adapted to modern king size, the bed includes cross supports and center legs as shown. The demonstrator king size mattress and spring units are 20" thick together. This bed is very heavy, so it is imperative that the side rails are seated securely into the ends with a rubber mallet or similar tool, twelve screws secure the corner joints as well.

Bed size is 83" wide, 93" long, the headboard is 76 1/2" tall and the foot board is 45" high.

Chests have original brass filigree pulls and hidden wheels underneath. Large dresser dimensions are 54" wide, 28" deep and 84 1/2" tall including the removable arched mirror.

The smaller chest has doors with a lock and key on the backside that opens to a large secret compartment. Another key operates the front door only. Size is 42" wide, 24" deep and 30 1/2" tall.
