Oak Quarter Sawn Vintage Desk, Brass Feet, File Drawer, NASA Stamp #33136

An oak desk with bold quarter sawn grain from about 1925 has brass feet to protect it in the days of mopping floors. There is a file drawer plus two pull out shelves.

The restored deep finish is in excellent condition, preserving a few mars at the edges for a little antique character. American made library or office furniture, deep drawers have dovetail joints and original carved oak pulls.

Inside the top right drawer a stamp, "NASA." The story is that this desk had belonged to the National Aeronautic and Space Administration, but there is no proof.

Size is 60" long, 32" wide, 31" tall and the knee hole is a generous 26" wide and 25" high.
