Chinese Antique Carved Elm & Ash Altar or Sofa Table, Hall Console #33212

Hand carved of solid elm and ash hardwoods in China about 1900, this traditional "altar" table would have held family mementos and burning incense in memory of ancestors. Today, it could be a hall console, sofa table or tv console.

The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving loads of stains, mars and wear for antique character. This sturdy furniture has hand cut mortise joints.

Dimensions are 40-1/2" wide, 16" deep and
33-1/2" tall.
