Empire Antique 1830 Mahogany Secretary Desk & Bookcase #33221

An Empire period secretary desk and bookcase is mahogany with wonderful matched flame grain panels from the 1830's. The flip open writing surface has new saddle leather.

The restored rich finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture. There are numerous losses and shrinkage separations from age, see photos.

Lower drawers have hand cut dovetail joints. The desk opens onto pull out supports. Cut square nails are visible. For easier delivery, the upper section is removable.

Measurements are 48" wide, 22" deep and 70" tall. The desk top is 29" high.
