Curly Tiger Maple Grandfather or Tall Case Clock, McGuire of VT, 1999 #33238

This marvelous grandfather or "Shaker Tall Clock of New Lebanon" was hand-crafted by the "McGuire" family of the Vermont Clock Co. of Isle Lamotta, Vermont and is dated 1999.

The authentic Shaker case has wonderful natural grain and the original warm finish is in superb condition on this American made vintage furniture. The dial is hand painted.

Signed by famous German maker, "Hermle," the brass weight driven movement keeps accurate time for a week on a winding, counting the hour and striking the half hour. The current price for this clock is $3655.

Measurements are 14" wide, 9" deep and 78" tall.

This clock needs to be "set up" when delivered - weights and pendulum attached and the case leveled. Most of our customers can do this as we walk them through the fairly simple steps by phone. The process is not very difficult, and it is also nice to know how to do this again whenever the clock needs to be moved for cleaning, painting or whatever. A few customers prefer to hire a local clockmaker at their own expense to make a house-call and set up the clock, which is usually not very expensive, depending on your location.
