This maple industrial cart was made to load and unload railroad cars in a factory about 1900. Signed "Chas E Francis Co., Rushville, Ind.," iron wheels and mounts are original.
Rugged hardwood and heavy cast iron, this salvage cart is ready to repurpose as a coffee table or whatever else you can imagine. The end wheels are slightly raised to make the cart maneuverable, so it needs caster cups or wood blocks to keep from "rocking," see photos.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving lots of dings and wear for antique character.
This rugged cart measures 27" wide, 14 1/2" high, and 54" long.
