This 1900 era Victorian version of the recliner was called a "Morris" chair, and the adjustable back has six tilting positions. Carved of solid oak, new soft cushions are freshly upholstered in a fabric design of the era, with zippers for easier cleaning.
The restored finish is in excellent condition. Tight and strong, the frame is reglued to serve another generation. A reclining iron mechanism is original, and works by moving the back. Cushions are removable.
Measurements in the upright position are 32" wide, 32" deep, 43" tall and the seat is 19" high.
