This wall or countertop medicine cabinet has a hand carved inscription, "Dr. Claris Veterinary, Buffalo, NY." Crafted of solid oak about 1900, it held the medicines from Dr. John T. Claris, who had the largest veterinary hospital in the country from 1882-1926, with "beds" for 100 horses. He also sold medicine in glass bottles, now collector items.
This cupboard has a restored finish in excellent condition, preserving a little wear for antique character. There is a working lock and key on the door.
Size is 20" wide, 9" deep and 31" tall.
