Victorian Eastlake Antique Bedroom Set, King Size Bed, Marble Chest #33468

A late Victorian or Eastlake period two piece bedroom set from about 1885 includes a king size bed and marble top chest or dresser with a beveled swivel mirror. Crafted of solid walnut, the bed has been expertly adapted to standard modern king size. Spoon or "chip" carving is characteristic of the era.

The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture.

On the bed, a demonstrator mattress and spring unit are 18" thick together. Wood cross supports and center legs as shown are included. Dimensions are 84" wide, 87" long, the headboard is 72" tall and the footboard is 32" high.

On the chest, "Tennessee Red" marble has been polished and given a protective finish. Drawers have round or "pin and cove" dovetail joints and original pulls. The original mirror has a curved bevel and a hint of "smoke" to show its age. Size is 39 1/2" wide, 18" deep and 71 1/2" tall.
