Traditional Chinese Vintage 4 Panel Coromandel Lacquer Screen #33680

A four panel Chinese screen is authentic carved "Coromandel" lacquer. Layers of colored lacquer are covered in hand painted wood graining, then hand carved down through the colors to "reveal" the garden and birds design. The reverse has a traditional palace garden scene.

About 80 years old, there are numerous mars, wear and losses for antique character on this traditional Asian furniture, see photos. Hinges are brass.

Panels are 16" wide and 1" deep and 72 1/2" tall and when folded accordion style as shown, about 4 1/2' wide. If stretched out flat, width is 64" overall.
