A palatial French Empire desk was carved of mahogany with inlaid tulipwood and ebony banding. Dating from about 1900, bronze mounts with faces are richly detailed. Inside the right drawer is a secret locking compartment. There are tooled leather tops on the pull out shelves as well. The opposite side has false drawers on this antique library furniture from France.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving minor mars for a little character. Drawers have solid oak sides with hand cut dovetail joints. Solid brass locks are "double throw."
Dimensions are 65" long, 35" deep, 31" tall and legroom is 23 1/2" underneath.
Shipping rate based on ground floor delivery from a trusted service provider. Most deliveries occur 14-30 business days from payment, some slightly longer, some shorter.
