This Arts and Crafts or Mission Oak period desk was made by Gustave Stickley about 1905, but lost its signature decal in an old restoration. We have seen this desk before, attached are drawings from the original Stickley catalog that depicts a similar desk.
Authentic details include the full 1 1/4" thick solid quarter sawn oak top, exposed mortise and tenon joints, round pegs at the joints and the grooved siding. Legs were shortened for unknown reasons and later extended again, see photos.
The restored deep finish is in excellent condition, preserving various mars, restorations and wear for antique character, see photos. Deep drawers have dovetail joints and solid oak sides and bottoms on this American made library or office furniture.
Measurements are 54" long, 30" deep, 31 1/2" tall, the kneehole is 23 1/2" wide and 24 1/2" high.
