A polished slate and marble mantle clock from around 1880 has an open escapement and is signed "Marti et Cie." The glass dial and window below are beveled on this antique French clock.
The brass movement keeps accurate time for a week on a winding, with a bell counting the hour and sounding the half hour. The compensating pendulum has 2 glass vials of mercury that are sealed like on a thermometer. There are minor flakes on the edges of the case, see photos.
Size is 17" wide, 6" deep and 17" tall.
Please view 24 photos at full screen size for best detail. Related items in photos are sold separately.
