Empire Antique Dropleaf Sofa, Breakfast or Dining Table, Acanthus Carved #34413

An Empire drop leaf table from about 1850 could be a breakfast dining table, hall console or sofa table. Hand crafted of solid birch, mahogany and tiger maple, legs have classical "acanthus" hand carving. The top is cut from single wide planks that are 1" thick.

The restored gleaming finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture. Dropleaves have slight warps from age, see photos.

Measurements with dropleaves down are 42" long, 19" wide and 29" tall, with both leaves raised, the top is 42" x 46."
