Orchard in spring with mountains is an original oil painting on board, signed "M. Valencia," and dates from the early 1900's. The gentle farmhouse or country scene is by the American artist, Manuel Valencia, 1856-1935.

A painter of California history and western landscapes, Valencia studied in the San Francisco area, where he lived his entire life, and attended what is now Santa Clara University. Valencia Street in San Francisco is named after him.

The deeply carved and burnished bronze toned frame is original on this antique work of art.

Overall size is 21" wide, 17" tall and 2" deep.
