A large and spectacular Victorian period silverplate hot water tea kettle with a serpent motif is signed, "Glenton & Chapman, 147 New Bond St., London." This antique English serving piece dates from about 1870. Subtle marks show that this piece was hand hammered.
The plate in in very fine condition, with a couple of spots worn down to the copper underneath as shown. The valve works.
Measurements are 13" across, 12" deep and 24" tall.
