Boat Yard Gloucester Harbor Original Oil Painting '66 Lawrence Wilbur 24" #34536

This lovely summer scene is "Boat Yard, Gloucester Harbor, MA, signed Lawrence Nelson Wilbur. This famous American artist, 1897-1989, was born in Massachusetts and working in Boston and Los Angeles before settling in New York. A descendant of Miles Standish, he was a student of the painter, N. C. Wyeth.

Wilbur's works are in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC, the National Gallery and Library of Congress in Washington, DC, as well as many other museums.

The strong brushwork and composition are striking. There is a gold liner on the custom oak frame.

Overall size is 24" wide, 20" tall and 2" deep.
