Louis XVI Style French Antique Lingerie Chest Semainier, Marble Top #34554

A traditional Louis XVI design "Semainier," or lingerie chest has seven drawers, one for each day of the week. Hand crafted of rosewood, mahogany and satinwood, there in inlaid banding on this elegant 1925 era furniture.

The restored finish is in excellent condition on this antique piece from France. Drawers have curved fronts and solid oak sides with dovetail joints and working double throw locks. Brass mounts are original. The shaped marble top has been polished and sealed with a protective finish.

Measurements are 15" wide, 13" deep and 50 1/2" tall.
