A charming Victorian scene of a country river with a cottage and church steeple in the distance is an original oil painting on canvas signed "E. Horton."

This lovely view is by Etty Horton, a noted English landscape artist who lived 1835-1905. Fine brushwork, delicate details and soft colors made her famous across Britain.

The elaborate embossed frame is genuine 24k gold leaf with minor touchups.
