A Victorian period small cash register was used by a candy store or barber shop, and is genuine bronze with lavish embossing. Signed by famous maker, "National Cash Register," there is a marble money shelf.
This antique dates from the early 1900's, and was resold in 1925 according to a label on the bottom of the cash drawer.
The working mechanism registers from 5 cents to $1. When the buttons are pressed, the drawer opens and a bell rings. Under the covers are counters for cash and customers.
