A Victorian period sled from about 1900 was used to haul blocks of ice, wine and beer in Wisconsin and would be a charming garden or Christmas prop.
Rugged runners supported heavy loads over ice and snow, pulled by a horse. The box and handle are rebuilt on this American made antique wagon. Runners, wrought iron mounts and the front swivel mechanism are original.
Crafted of maple, the recent finish is in very good condition.
Size is 86" long, 34" wide and the box is 23" high, posts are 37" tall.
