Jour & Nuit Par Claudius, Moreau Antique Bronze Sculpture, Day and Night #35395

This genuine bronze sculpture has an engraved label, "Jour & Nuit, Par Claudius" or "Day and Night, By Claudius." A version signed by one of the famous family of French sculptors "Aug. Moreau" dates from about 1900. In addition to the allegorical figures, there is a cherub or angel holding an hourglass.

The base of the statue is rouge marble with a few losses at the edges. This antique work of art has a rich deep patina and is sometimes configured with a spherical clock.

Measurements are 13" wide, 7" deep and 23" tall, it weighs 45 lbs.
