A solid oak chest was made for a machinist's tools, and would make an interesting collector's file or jewelry chest as well. Corners have "finger" dovetail joints.
The original finish is well worn with just enough wear, losses and mars for antique character, and has been waxed and buffed. Eight drawers have old, stained felt bottoms. The leather handle is original and worn.
Worn nickel hardware is original on this 1915 era American made cabinet. The lock and key still work, releasing the front cover which slides in underneath the drawers.
Size is 21" wide, 10" deep and 13" tall when closed.
