Scottish 1860 Antique Flame Grain Mahogany Tall Chest, Secret Drawer #35626

An imposing highboy or tall chest was hand crafted in Scotland about 1860, with mother of pearl inlaid knobs, and beautiful hand carved accents. Mahogany with matched flame grain panels is beautiful.

The old finish is in excellent condition, preserving mars, shrinkage separations and irregularities from age on this historic tall dresser, see photos. Large drawers have hand cut dovetail joints on this boldly scaled antique furniture.

There is a secret drawer that opens by the crown, and the base and crown are separate for easier transport. Drawers have old wallpaper linings.

Measurements are 53.5" wide at the crown, 25" deep and 70" tall.
