Dissection Antique Microscope & Case, Brass Mounts, Signed Vergr 16 #35653

A "dissection" microscope from around 1890 has a signature only on one eyepiece, "VERGR 16." In beautiful condition, brass mounts are polished and there is another eyepiece signed "VERGR 8."

There are removable flaps that fit on the sides of the beveled glass plate above the ground and polished mirror.

Instrument size is 5" x 5" and 6 1/2" tall.

The solid mahogany case has finger dovetail joints and original nickel mounts and working lock. Size is 6 1/2" x 7" and 10" tall.
