Boulework Faux Tortoise & Brass Vintage Semainier or Lingerie Chest #35812

A traditional lingerie chest or "Semainier" has seven drawers, one for each day of the week. Hand crafted "Boulework" includes faux tortoise shell and brass inlay with lacquer.

The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving mars and irregularities typical of marquetry inlay. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints on this vintage furniture from about 25 years ago.

Size is 24 1/2" wide, 15 1//2" deep and 41 1 /2" tall.
