Village on Lake Orta, Italy, Original Antique Oil Painting, Signed 25" #35834

A lovely scene of a village on Lake Orta in Italy from around 1890 is signed illegibly. The inscription on the back is "Lago D'Orta," originally sold by the renowned "Marshall Field" department store antique department in Chicago. The sun is setting over the lake and town with villagers in the foreground.

The lavishly carved frame is in very fine condition on this European work of art. There are restorations on the canvas that are visible on the back, see photos.

Overall size is 25" x 17" and 2 1/2" deep.
