A Victorian period cast iron safe is signed "Hall's Safe of Cincinnati, Ohio," and is inscribed with a patent date of "April 3rd, 1906." American made antique office furniture, this strongbox was made for "Meyer & Co of Milwaukee."
A working combination lock opens the deadbolts on the door, combination is included. Mounts are original nickel. Inside is another door with a key plus small cubicles.
The original black paint, pin striping and logos are in remarkably fine condition, protected with a clear finish. Weight is 315 lbs. but the door lifts off making it slightly lighter and it does roll on the iron wheels.
Measurements are 16 1/2" wide, 19" deep and 27 1/2" tall.
