Victorian Eastlake Antique 1870 Walnut Office Bookcase or China Cabinet #35929

An exceptional late Victorian or Eastlake period bookcase or china cabinet from about 1870 was carved of solid walnut. Doors have a working locks and the large drawer has original brass hardware.

The original finish is in very fine condition on this American made antique library or office furniture. Shelves are adjustable with grooves to display plates if desired. There are round pin and cove dovetail joints on the drawer.

The back is attached with square nails, there are a few mars on the edges and shrinkage separations and from age, see photos.

Measurements are 39" wide, 18" deep and 72.5" tall.
